One of Nikon's classic, reliable, and affordable AF-D primes. Some of the other more affordable versions include 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 60mm, 85mm, 105mm, etc. You get higher performance for lower price & weight when choosing primes. I'm currently using this with a Metabones adapter. If looking today, I'd definitely consider the brand new
