The Sony RX 100 is an exceptional pocket camera with a large 1" sensor & Carl Zeiss optics. The first version of the camera established itself as most powerful pocket camera on the market. With the MK II Sony introduced Wifi, NFC, hotshoe, and a tiltable screen. Finally a step up to the most recent RX 100 MK III gives you a viewfinder, 180 degree tilting selfie screen, and improved 24-70 f/1.8-2.8 Zeiss lens.
Though this guy is small it offers full RAW image support and manual camera control.
If you can handle a slightly larger size I'd wait for the Panasonic LX100 and it's boasted micro 4/3 sensor & 4K video. I will probably be switching
